26 participants in a nonviolent blockade of military cargo between Port of Olympia and Fort Lewis are being charged by the Thurston County Office of the Prosecutor. The first of those being charged will be arraigned tomorrow. Of the 26, 25 are women. The 26 are part of an action that is commonly referred to as the Women's Blockade, or Women's Action.

43 people in all were arrested in the November 13th, 2007 Women's Blockade. 39 of those who were arrested are female.

Last Friday, supporters of the Oly 26 vigiled at Percival Landing. Turn-out was good. About 40 people showed up.

The first arraignment of members of the Oly 26 is scheduled for tomorrow morning at the Thurston County Courthouse, up on the hill above Capitol Lake. Proceeding's are scheduled to start at 9:30 AM.

Hello fellow Olybloggers,

I have been working especially hard the past few weeks in preparation for the grand opening of my new holistic healthcare center in east Olympia, A Sound Body & Mind. I'm putting the final touches on the office in the coming week and want to invite you all to my open house party on Saturday September 27th.

From 6 to 8pm, the doors will be wide open. We will have tasty things for you to munch and sip as you check out the new clinic. Obviously, I'm very excited about it, as I'm hoping you will be when you see it. There is no need to RSVP, just stop by whenever you like. The address is 2747 Pacific Ave SE Suite A-12 Olympia WA 98501. There is also a map link on my website. I hope to see you all there.

To our health,
Chris Matyas, LMP

The Letter To The New York Times:
As you said, Obama has gotten this far on hope. We, his supporters have heard his message and we want Barack Obama to know, we've got his back. For every negative campaign that Clinton puts out there, we will counter, not with an attack, but with a good deed. For every tactic of fear, we'll reach out to someone in need; for every attempt to divide on cultural and ethnic lines, we will cross those lines to demonstrate how interconnected we all are; for every sneer that's made at our message of hope, we will demonstrate how that hope brings communities together.

Briana Waters is an old Olympia resident that is being tried in Tacoma, WA, regarding her alleged involvement in the UW Center for Urban Horticulture arson in 2001. Briana steadfastly maintains her innocence. Her pretrial conference hearing is this Friday, January 25, 2008. It is important to attend wearing court clothes and appropriate attitudes for court. Her life is on the line.

Who is Briana Waters? Briana Waters is a mother, violin teacher and amazing videographer. She did the documentary "Watch" about the successful tress sit/ labor campaign in Randle, WA. She is being persecuted by the government in the "green scare round up".

Why is this important to Olympia? This is important for several reasons. First, the Olympia has been and will be under the scrutiny of mass infiltrations, snitches, and general FBI interrogation. Second, it is important for Olympia to step up and document what the federal government is doing.

This is our amazing community and we have a responsibility to bear witness to this trial about our community and be the alternative media. This is not about the alleged arson. This is about the further suppression of our organizing in Olympia and throughout the world. We have an amazing community and amazing network to get the TRUTH out!

Here is a repost:
