I can't seem to access Olyblog via olyblog.net, only through drupal.zhonka.net/olyblog. Anybody know what's going on?

Submitted by theunabonger on Sun, 06/14/2009 - 2:05pm.Seems to be a DNS problem, as the DNS was changed on 6-12-2009. If Rick or somebody could change the DNS servers for the domain back to "huey.zhonka.net 208.64.240.3 and dewey.zhonka.net 208.64.240.2" it should start working again at the proper URL.

Submitted by stevenl on Sat, 06/13/2009 - 2:43pm.Someone needs to lift that cakedish and press the single button on the red phone in order to reach the only man who can handle this caper, The Caiman Master. Or maybe at night resort to the Rick Signal, a searchlight projecting the silhouette of a caiman.
But I suspect he has a few other new-Dad things to deal with right now that are, believe it or not, more important than OlyBlog. In the meantime the OlyBlog survivalists find a way to post and comment.
Actually, getting to the point where one can signon and post or comment here is not unlike those fun times I spent with my daughter when we were trying to figure how to navigate Nintendo games. Great fun.

I don't know what's wrong with the normal url... It's troubling, especially after the loss of 4 days worth of posts earlier this year.
Nostalgia
Submitted by stevenl on Sun, 06/14/2009 - 2:21pm.In a way I'm sort of enjoying this. It reminds me of what OlyBlog was like in the Territorial Era, when the number of users was still in two digits. Back when we knew we were jointly creating something fresh and original for the Olympia community. Almost 4 years ago, when we could get together for regular BroHo sessions or gather a group to clean up the shore of the FLOD.
I still love OlyBlog. Hopefully this glitch will be only a small setback.

When were posts lost, during the DB move from Bryght hosting? The fix is simple, but only Rick has the Keys to the domain to fix it (see comment above.)
