Sarah's note: This is one of several May Days in Olympia I've participated in over the years. I learned a valuable lesson on the lawn of the Armory while flying People's Air Force paper airplanes around - always wear sunblock. It was warm and gorgeous outside and I got so burnt. Word to the wise.
» Marching to the beat of several different drummers, about 300 people celebrated May Day in the streets of Olympia with a peaceful demonstration at the National Guard Armory. Olympia May Day rally attracts 300 People danced, children played, and we got some sun in Oly. Joey Casio rocked out as well as another band with the former lead singer of Rainbow Sugar out rapping the white boy rappers on hand. At least It Went Faster Than The Tumwater Fourth of July Parade *** (Thanks Emmett for encouragement, much appreciated.)
