I'm collecting May Day in Olympia 2007 stories, journal posts, and assorted impressions - even a sentence or two is appreciated.

You are welcome to post here, msg me, do your own blog post here or elsewhere and let me know about it.

Thanks!

This was the last best May Day.

I'm the balding, beared guy in the sport coat in the lower right corner.

Wonderful!

Great photo, what was it like walking through the streets that day?

It was an exhilarating good time

The crowd was festive and good humored as it marched all over town. I don't remember the order of things, but I think they hit downtown, Capitol campus, the armory, City Hall and everything in between. Some drivers were unhappy with the inconvenience, but it was only one afternoon. They're over it by now I hope. There was no naked mud wrestling that time, but there was plenty of fun street theater, music, dancing, etc. I don't remember if this was the May Day where everyone ended up camping in the field near The Olympian. I could hear them into the night from my house a few blocks away. I hope they do it again.

I missed this one

Nothing quite like a festive march through city streets. I'd like to see May Day marked as a state holiday for everyone.
