Caimans are not noted for their sense of humor. They especially hate puns since many of the subtleties of English are lost on them. They also don't like being made the butt of jokes.

This was a comic drawn by myself and the fabulous Brad W. Foster back around 1986. Note the goofy reptilian characters. Now I'm probably on some list!

Anyone engaged in the ungentl

Anyone engaged in the ungentlemanly art of cartooning has to accept the possibility of angering a certain element of the population. This could even result in lawsuits, assault, losing a job. All occupational hazards and part of the game. But getting eaten by a caiman was never really an option I had entertained until now. O, these are dark days indeed.

I just noticed. The creatures on that comic book cover have (shudder) opposable thumbs!!

(It took me a good ten minutes before the title sank in. Found myself laughing loudly with no clue why. Then painstakingly thought about the title....the song.....the puns.......eureka!)

I won't pretend to know what

I won't pretend to know what I am talking about here, but I hope that you've taken some measures in regard to your personal security. These caimans appear benign, especially these humanoid ones you have here, but underneath, they are as cold-hearted, and flesh-rending reptilian as your imaginations worst concept of a thuggish extraterrestrial invader (next to the insect group, of course.) As you aptly mention, these guys aren't much for tomfoolery.
