I just unpublished my last thread, the one about being nice. While I do in a way agree with the nut of it, I was wrong in how I expressed it.

I apologize for saying that others don't care about OlyBlog. That was a insensitive and inaccurate thing to say. There are many people who contribute to this blog, and many different ways of contributing. I still believe there are a handful of people that should check themselves, but I know that needs to start with me.

I unpublished the thread because I feel it was a lot of negative energy that needed to go away, not because I wanted to silence anyone's voice. Most everything said in criticism of my post was right on, in my opinion.

I am not a robot, and I frog things up sometimes. Can't we all just get along?

Thanks Rob

I know I can be an asshat as well, and think I played a roll in today's chaos.

Time for happy fuzzy stuff again...

dude, I'm "blown-away"...

...that was a great thing to do.

Thanks for trying to keep it cool & for making OlyBlog a bit more "safe".

That was marcie's first comment in months...

...it was three paragraphs and well reasoned.

It was kind of sad to see it dissapear 10 minutes after she posted it.

Just curious, Rob, if you had any response to her post "in mind" before

you unpublished your blog. Thanks!

Good point.

I'm actually glad you brought this up. I thought about reposting her comment but didn't want to offend anyone. It was definitely her comment that pushed me over the edge toward taking the thread down. I hope she reads this and knows that.

There's too much important stuff going on locally, and I'm far too busy a person to spend, waste, and abuse my time with negative stuff. So I'm done. I'm gonna stick to fun things, like helping people generate original content.

Welcome to the Human Race, Rob

You finally made your first mistake today and have qualified for membership.  I was wondering how long your perfect streak was going to last.

Frankly, friend, you were nicer than I would have been and probably a bigger man that I to accept your self analysis

For what it's worth, I agree with much of your concerns.

Personally, I appreciated

Personally, I appreciated your venting. But if you feel better this way, that's okay too. Rob, you're not the source of the adversity / hostility / bad feelings.

Very big of you Rob, thank you.

FWIW, "be nice or get lost." isn't a bad motto.

We Applaud You Rob

and give you credit.  Sometimes it takes a few for you to see it, but you always do come around eventually and fix what's perceived as your wrongs!

Ahem.

It's "mea culpa".  With an "e".  Not that I'm not as eager as the next Olyblogger to extol your praises.  I think you're nifty.  I even like your i-phone.  :)

oh, it's really cool

And I meant to put a "P.S." on the last comment, but the edit button disappeared. So:

P.S.  I think this thread is way cool.  You take too much crap here, Rob, and though I didn't read your vent, I think you've got more right to vent on Olyblog than just about anyone else.  Glad to finally see folks giving you some credit/cutting you some slack.
