Japanese-Americans and local oyster industry

I'm an anthropologist. I'm currently dong a history of the Japanese American community on Oyster Bay, Mason and Thurston County, Washington. I'm working with several families. If you have resources: interviews you've done in the past, photographs, tips, leads, etc that you think might help me with this project, please let me know. I'm also interested in the Hisata strawberry farms...these were out South Bay area.

I live in Kyoto Japan and I have always found that the olympia yashiro sister city group knows a lot about the history around there. http://www.oysc.org/ You might try Setsuko Tsutsumi at Evergreen.
