and appear to have lost a couple of posts to continuing conversations in the process of getting denied.

So, maybe the posts will emerge later or maybe they are gone.  Too bad because I was enjoying the electoral college and long emergency discussion, but I can only think, look up links, insert the links etc so many times before I give up and figure that the site just occasionally steps in and stops the conversation.

That's the way it is.

I checked the filter

One of your comments was there, I pushed it through. One thing I used to do was to select all in the text box, copy it, and keep it on the clipboard until I knew it was published. That way you all you have to do if you lose it is hit cntrl-v. It's a pain, but that's the easiest way I've figured out.

I use the clipboard that way too, but I think it only stores

one sweep of text.

Thanks for the push on the one

F5

If you're using IE, try hitting F5 (page reload) right after you receive the error.  You may be prompted with a 'Retry/Cancel' dialog box.  Select Retry.  This command will attempt to reload your previous page without using the back button (bad move).  It works for me in comments most of the time.
