One of the most popular shows on KAOS-FM during the second half of the 1970s was a musical program dedicated to nothing but cheesy, commercial Hawaiian music.

Go figure.

Was this the same show that was still going on in the mid-1980s, hosted by a woman who rescued cats and tried to find homes for them in between Hawaiian music? I loved that show--it was the beginning of my love for Hawaiian music.
